The pillow is embroidered and finished completely by hand. Due to the nature of this construction, variations will be evident in each textile and yours may differ slightly from the piece photographed. These variations are not flaws, but the "beauty marks" of owning a completely hand made, one-of-a-kind textile.

Adapted from our classic El Jardin Challah cover, this heirloom baby pillow is inspired by metaphors of the Garden of Eden, while drawing from a folkloric Mexican aesthetic. It features symbols of blessing and protection, including pomegranates, doves, olive branches and a hamsa. The hebrew word "Mazal" which evokes a flow of good fortune from the heavens, is embroidered in the top center of the design. 

This textile is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a Baby blessing keepsake card, with Psalm 121 printed in Hebrew and English. Many have the custom of pinning this Psalm under the baby's pillow, from the moment of birth, surrounding the newborn with a protective aura of G-dly benevolence.
